Forest Roads Map Coverage
Coverage includes public roads for all National Forests and National Grasslands with the exception of the Mark Twain NF in Missouri. In addition, Bureau of Land Management public roads are included for northern Arizona (the Arizona strip area), Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and western Montana.
The public roads are sourced from the US Forest Service and US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) State and regional offices, and include variable source dates and content depending on the collection time frame and methods for each jurisdiction. Public roads are labeled with the road number and/or road name where available, and designated as High-Clearance (4WD) or suitable for passenger cars. In some cases the National Forest or BLM offices mapped closed or abandoned roads, and these are depicted with special symbols to help plan navigation routes.
